Award-winning MED-SEG

A GOOD IMAGE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

MED-SEG-TM is an FDA cleared software device that receives medical images and data from various imaging sources (including but not limited to CT, MR, US, RF units),computed and direct radiographic devices, and secondary capture devices, (scanners, imaging gate-ways or imaging sources). Images and data can be stored, communicated, processed and displayed within the system or across computer networks at distributed locations. The clinicians can additionally isolate one particular area of inter-est in an image to compare it with other databased reference images. In addition to general PACS use, this system can be used by trained professionals (e.g. physicians, radiologists, nurses, medical technicians, and assistants) to separate 2D images into “digitally related” sections or regions that, after colorization, can be individually labeled by the user. These images can be used to find appropriate window/level settings, to facilitate report generation and communication, or other uses. These processed images should not be used for primary image.

R&D Magazine Awards
In June 2011 the editors of R&D Magazine announced the winners of the 49th Annual R & D 100 Awards. The award is a testimony to the 100 most “technologically significant products” introduced over the past year. Bartron was listed as the Co-developer with NASA/GFSC in the category of Imaging Technologies for incorporating Recursive Hierarchical Segmentation into its MED-SEG™. The R&D 100 Awards have long been a benchmark of excellence for various industry sectors Winners of the R&D 100 Awards are selected by an independent judging panel and the editors of R&D.

There is a MED-SEG and BTMS 1000-HPC cluster system BMI firewall 2000 deployed in Mangalore india purchase by WEBSCAPE IMAGING CONSULTANTS PVT LTD. With these capabilities, we believe the MED-SEG system will improve diagnostic interpretation for a wide range of digital medical images to help reduce unnecessary medical procedures, and reduce false positives and false negatives.

The MED-SEG™ can take any medical digital image from a capturing device e.g. MRI, CT scan, Mammogram, X-ray, machine etc. and is able to extract data using BMI’s proprietary software on the entire image or on a region of interest. The benefits of the system result by:

  • Lowering patient cost by decreasing the number of unnecessary procedures
  • Improving the doctor’s interpretational skills
  • The ability to use the system in rural areas
  • Being secure under BMI’s FireWall 2000

These are accomplished by the system’s Speed using parallel computing (HPC), Accuracy and use for Screening.
